In his daughter's bedroom, Brandon Marteliz struggled to hold back tears. "It's challenging," Marteliz admitted. "There are times I can enter this room, and times I just can't." Marteliz's sole child is a daughter he has never had the chance to meet. "I had books, a few toys, and loads of clothes for her. I'm preparing to give them away because I realize they won't fit her anymore," shared Marteliz. His daughter is set to turn two in January, and the poignant reality of their separation is evident in the items collected for her. Marteliz captured a moment with his child's mother just two days before she gave birth.
