Synopsis
The inimitable Jane Seymour (The Kominsky Method, Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman) returns as the eponymous Harry Wild for a second helping of ‘cleverly constructed whodunnit fun’ (The Sun) in this charming, effortlessly engaging, refreshingly modern murder mystery series.
In series two, former literature professor Harry Wild (Seymour) remains dedicated to one thing – solving crime – having adopted a rather unusual pastime in her retirement. Continuing to work alongside her trusty partner and sidekick, Fergus Reid (Rohan Nedd – Whitstable Pearl), this dynamic crime-busting duo has their work cut out for them.
Much to the annoyance of Harry’s son, Charlie (Kevin Ryan – Guilt), a busy detective in the Dublin Garda, Harry and Fergus throw themselves into their work, solving everything from missing persons to murders. However, when Fergus’ mother turns up out of the blue – years after abandoning her family – they have a deeply personal mystery to solve: What are her intentions and can Fergus trust her?
They must also solve the murder of Harry’s ex-lover, a woman who has gone missing from an Irish village steeped in dark history, the poisoning of a maid of honour during a bachelorette party, a crossbow-wielding killer, a murder mystery party turning deadly and the ominous demise of a boxing gym owner.
In series one retired literature professor Harriet – AKA Harry Wild – is mugged, setting off a transformative journey like no other. Reluctantly recovering at the home of her PI son Charlie and his wife Orla (Amy Huberman – Finding Joy), Harry stumbles upon his murder case files and decides to take matters into her own hands. Setting out as an amateur sleuth, her path soon crossed with that of her mugger, Fergus, whom she recruits as her unlikely sidekick. Together, they form a sprightly detective duo, unravelling mysteries with each new adventure.
With a dazzling lead, quirky cases, light-hearted humour and joyful characters, Harry Wild is the sleuthing sensation we’ve been waiting for.
