Christmas Competition: Win Inspector Montalbano Complete 1-10 Box Set and Code 404 Series 1 & 2 Box Set

Win Inspector Montalbano Complete 1-10 Box Set and Code 404 Series 1 & 2 Box Set

Inspector Montalbano Synopsis
Our favourite Sicilian detective Inspector Montalbano returns for another enthralling series of intrigue, drama and fine food, set against a stunning sun-drenched backdrop.

With all of the thrills of Scandi-noir, but with delicious delicacies, Sicilian culture and the warmth of the Mediterranean sun, this ratings hit stars Luca Zingaretti as the eponymous, much-loved icon of contemporary detective drama. Salvo Montalbano is a sharp, unconventional detective who must fight to succeed within Italy's precarious justice system, alongside his trusted colleagues.

A gifted young researcher suffers a brutal death in a public records centre, but the leads don’t add up: Montalbano discovers a complex personal life but finds no enemies. This case hits particularly close to home, as the victim was a close friend of Montalbano’s girlfriend Livia (Sonia Bergamasco). Could their work with immigrant orphans have something to do with her death?

Code 404 Synopsis
Two British acting greats and Line of Duty alumni Stephen Graham and Daniel Mays, the ultimate acting dream team,  return for a second hilarious series of Code 404, that sees them taking a detour from serious drama to  tackle the buddy cop genre… like never seen before.  This side-splitting sci-fi, cop-show mash-up takes things to a whole new dimension.

Picking up where series one left off, series two brings Detective Inspectors Roy Carver (Graham – Line of Duty, The Irishman) and DI John Major (Mays – Temple, Good Omens) back together for more comedy capers, criminal-catching, and a 20-year-old cold-case which throws the pair straight into action. The AI-driven Major struggles with the pressures of an impending divorce from his wife (Anna Maxwell-Martin – Motherland, Line of Duty), the return of his long-lost father, and strange glitches. Much to DI Carver’s concern, Major’s problems seem more serious than something a quick reboot can solve, and are likely signs of his AI failing. It looks like the dynamic duo are in for even more trouble than before…

COMPETITION: Win Dalgliesh: Series 1 on DVD

Dalgliesh: Series 1  on DVD  - Released from 6th December

And to celebrate we have a great competition for you and 3 copies on DVD to give away.

Synopsis:
Bertie Carvel takes the titular lead in Dalgliesh, a brand-new, must-watch period crime drama which is set to delight on its DVD and digital release this December courtesy of Acorn Media International, following its UK premiere on Channel 5.

Based on renowned author P.D. James’ bestselling novels Adam Dalgliesh Mysteries, this gripping new drama follows the enigmatic detective and poet (Carvel – Doctor Foster, Jonathan Strange & Mr Norrell, The Tragedy of Macbeth), as he takes on extraordinary murder cases, and reveals long-buried secrets. The six-part series arrives on DVD and digital on 13 December 2021.

Following in the footsteps of distinguished detectives such as Sherlock Holmes and Poirot, Adam Dalgliesh takes us to 1970s England, solving strange mysteries including: a student nurse poisoned during training, a homeless man and a retired Tory politician found dead with their throats slashed in a London church and a very suspicious death at a mysterious disability care home. Dedicating his career to cracking crime and bringing killers to justice, Dalgliesh is forced to uncover some dark and dangerous truths along the way...

Written by Helen Edmundson (Mary Magdalene) alongside a host of talented scribes, the show features a brilliant line-up of guests including Jeremy Irvine (War Horse), Natasha Little (War of the Worlds) and Mirren Mack (Sex Education). The series draws upon three books, tracing the detective’s expansive crime-fighting career, with each case offering its own unique setting and an exciting guest cast.
